Katia Major is the VETS Partnership, Senior Program Manager for Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord.

Katia has lived, worked, and volunteered internationally for over 20 years. Much of her career has focused on supporting and collaborating with volunteers, as well as developing partnerships in Canada, the UK, Africa, and Asia. A firm believer in open communication, Katia approaches her work with compassion, curiosity, and cultural awareness. Having worked with local and international NGOs, Katia believes that empowering young people and taking better care of our environment will lead to a better quality of life for everyone. 

While living in India for six years, Katia trained as a yoga instructor for adults, families, and children. Yoga is part of her daily routine and you will always find a mat in her suitcase!
